2011 New England Manipulation Symposium
The 7th Annual New England Manipulation Symposium (NEMS) will take place at Yale University on Friday, May 20th, 2011.
The main goals of this event are to take advantage of our geographic proximity to explore common research interests, to establish and strengthen collaborations, and to give students the opportunity to network and present their work.
Previous years' symposia were extremely successful in bringing together robotics researchers in New England and the Northeast US. NEMS 2010 was held at UMass Amherst and was attended by approximately 70 participants from 16 institutions.
Registration: (Deadline May 2) If you are planning to attend, please send an email to Lorraine Ragusa (email@example.com). Please include the names, email addresses, and affiliations of all who will attend. Also, indicate whether you will need a parking permit. There is no cost to attend. Lunch and coffee breaks will be provided by Yale.
Presenting: (Deadline April 25) If you are interested in giving a presentation on your work at the symposium, please indicate this in your registration email and include an informative title and the name of the authors and affiliations. Topics should be related to robotic manipulation, but can otherwise span any range of sub-topics.
Posters: (Deadline May 4) Due to a few requests, we have decided to offer a POSTER session this year. If you are interested in presenting your work for the poster session, please send an email to Lorraine Ragusa and indicate name of the presenter and his/her contact info. The scope of the posters can lie outside of the scope of the conference, but should be on a topic that will likely be of interest to the attendees.
